I,m Back

Excuse the long delay, a funny thing happened on the way to the keyboard. Well that,s along story we won't bore you with but health issues, family and some travel got in the way of this posting. So, what's to report? The RC groups (the jets included) had a couple of good weekends in June. In the mean time, another Superdog was completed and spent some break-in time in Maine before flying off to its new home in Florida with owner Sam Dawson and Paul Santopietro. The annual taildragger event held on the third weekend in September had some heavy competition, thanks to events that were rescheduled on the 17th & 18th having been cancelled thanks to Irene (hurricane that is). Nevertheless, great breakfasts and old time afternoon cookouts were still served under the culinary direction of chef Jughead from down Maine. Jeff was also down helping with air traffic control and covering Steve's back.
We attended AOPA Summit in Hartford where it was apparent that between the economy and the cost of fuel, General Aviation is definitely feeling the pinch. We can only hope that there will be real change in washington and we emerge from the abyss and be happy flying more often. On Sunday October 9 we will remember our beloved friend Minio with a tribute gathering at the airport. May we never forget.
