We have just learned that a special meeting was held with MAC and the Plum Island Airfield authorities with regard to the recent changes caused by the monsoon. Runway 15/33 is now approved for amphibians and seaplanes under 12000 pounds gross weight. A dock will soon be in place for securing arriving aircraft. The approval does come with some restrictions. Under no conditions will fishing be allowed and duck hunting will be by lottery and will be administered by the president of PICA. The photo shows the official test ; a low pass over the new landing area.
