IT HAS BEEN A WHILE
It was a tough summer; weather and commitments with the weeks flying faster than the model jets. Here it is mid November and I'm not sure where 2013 went. Aside from all the excuses for this belated post, 2B2 had a bit of activity to report. Second Sunday pot lucks were well attended as were the special events of the summer. In June, Mike Fiorito and his Jet Rally gang put on a great show as always, followed, in July by Don Dodier and the Radio Controlled model aircraft fly in and antique car and hot rod show. Also this year the aerobatic R/C boys came to 2B2 for the tune up and qualifying event prior to the nationals. The airport also hosted a Gathering of United Flying Octogenerians with pilots flying in from Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire.
Thanks to all, it was the greatest. The airport continues to draw flyers from around the region and some of the local merchants and eateries are the beneficiaries. The Pilatus group from Portsmouth enjoys using our little airport for training as well as transport. We had not one but three in the other day and many passers by could not believe that aircraft of that size were flying in and out of 2B2.
