And The Heat Goes On
Summer heat aside, John Murray's flight school keeps them flying. John is helping folks, who a short while ago only dreamed of flying, become pilots. With a calm, low key approach, he builds confidence in his students while training in the great environment of a small field. With both a paved runway and one of the best kept grass runways, his students get good training in both short and soft field operations. By the way Uncle Bert Noyes is the fellow seen running the mower, keeping the grass runway in top shape.
On September 22nd the airport will host a gathering of members of the United Flying Octogenarians (UFO). Members qualified by having flown as PIC after reaching their 80th birthday. Eat your veggies and excercise and you too can make it. A tour of the Burgess Museum and the hangar projects will be followed by a cookout and many old flying tales.
