Nineteen inches
Plum Island and its' neighbors got the most (19in.). Noah promised to keep the batteries charged on his power tools in case it starts to rain again. Needless to say the fly-in has been postponed to sometime in June. We will keep you posted. High water levels on the Island can be seen in the photo taken recently?? at the center. Conditions were critical enough to require Coast Guard protection against looting. Steve Noyes has been backing up their action from the air. PICA volunteers led by Butch (on the left) were out in the height of the storm in an effort to protect the runway. It is believed that hangars shown here at a nearby airport may soon be available at a highly discounted price. Don Paquette has quickly determined, with the aid of his handy palm computer, that the hangars can be put on barges and floated to their future home at 2B2.
