Thou shalt make it 300 cubits long

The rains took a short breather and returned to foul up the flying. 2B2 was involved in a Coast Guard rescue operation on Sunday, the 4th of June. Two kayakers overturned in rough seas off Plum Island and had to be plucked out of the water by helo. They were then delivered to Plum Island Airfield where ambulances and EMTs were waiting. All this took place while the monthly pot luck lunch was going on. Did everyone get enough to eat?
We weren't sure of the date for the 1P1 Plymouth fly-in so I called an authority on the subject...Capt. Rand Peck. Unbeknownst to me, he was asleep after flying in from Hawaii and laying over in Seattle. It was an unscheduled wake-up call but gentleman that he is, he passed on the information I required. After getting off the phone, I thought,....he will be sleepless in Seattle which could be a great title for a movie. Maybe they could get Tom Hanks to play Rand??? Well the date for the fly-in was Tuesday the 6th, and the weather broke and was just perfect; except for one thing. The Varga's master relay succumbed to the downpours and had shorted out. Thanks to Steve Noyes' troubleshooting and an available replacement, the author spent the day scraping nuckles in the removal and replacement of the relay. That part is in there somewhere Al. (see pic). Don Paquette didn't make it either as he was held hostage by 7th graders subbing for the regular educator who was probably off playing golf.
Hope to see agood turnout at both the upcoming membership cook-out(June 11) and the Fly-in (June17/18).
