Closing 2007

Although the year flew by at mach 2 a lot was accomplished at 2B2. A new hangar was built, the working museum was established, a fuel farm was installed, fly-ins, taildragger gatherings, pancake breakfasts prepared by J&D from down Maine, barbecues for the members, the World War II veteran navy flyers, and our good friends from Squadron 7, our continued monthly pot luck lunches, and many other events, highlighted a busy calendar. Thanks to all who helped make it a successful year. A great turnout for the annual Christmas party capped off the year. There was plenty of food and beverage and especially good cheer. Some of the regulars,(Mineo)had headed south when the snow came early. Some, like Limping Ox were missing in action, tending to keeping GE in the black. Beth and Katherine are seen discussing aerodynamic theory. We were pleased to have Gary and Diane Viera from Historic New England join us.They are shown here with Commissioner Allen, Charlie and yours truly.
As always Squadron 7 was well represented. The Plum Island Aerodrome team has planned an ambitious program for 2008. Based on the 2007 results it should be a very good year. We can't do it alone, so we ask for your continued support. Keep an eye out for a web site currently under construction and a calendar of upcoming events. A happy and healthy New Year to all.
