Sunset Cruise

On the 31st of August the friends of Plum Island Airfield gathered at Hatters Point and boarded the beautiful M/Y Full Moon, a 65 ft. Grebe, for a trip up river. There were pilots, skydivers, volunteers, wives and lady friends as well as good folks who care for 2B2. George has been working on the Full Moon this summer for Anita Rossi, owner and captain and they came up with the idea for a fund raiser cruise. PICA was well represented and pied piper Butch Crook put out the call and the jumpers turned out as usual. We left the dock about 1845hrs. and headed up river with plenty of food and beverages to spare. The happy group was treated to calm waters, on a balmy summer evening and a fabulous sunset. George took his turn at the wheel and kept the good ship in the channel. The trip was completed without a single man overboard.
